Bees and Pink Flowers   1 comment

Another visit to Roma Street Parklands in Brisbane friday morning.

I was a little dissapointed, no Water Dragons, No Water Lilies.

But there is always something to capture this time Bees amongst the Pink Flowers

Not a Bee, but you can see potential Death for a Bee, lurking below the flower here.

Bribie Island Sunset   1 comment

I was at Bribie about a month ago and captured this sunset.

There was very little cloud, but what was there captured the colour well

All taken with 7D and 17-55mm, handheld, no filters, colour captured in camera through white balance selection, very little post processing.

Cheers Dave

Another photo from my recent trip to Roma Street Parklands

One of my favourite animals to photograph, a Water Dragon

I never tire of just watching these guys they are so regal and proud, and also seem to enjoy posing for the camera.

Taken with 7D and 70-200mm lens

More Water Lilies   1 comment

I had the opportunity to stop at the Mount Cootha Botanical Gardens, on the way to visit a friend on Sunday.

I was intending to do some more macro work, but as time was against me, only really managed to look around the pond.

I am starting to like photographing Water Lilies as much as Water Dragons, and had both to shoot here.

A couple of the Water Lilies photos

Taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens.

Cheers Dave

Water Lilies   2 comments

It was a beautiful Autumn day in Brisbane today.

With a bit of time to spare in the middle of the day, I headed into one of my favourite inner city spots, the Roma Street Parklands.

As always lots to photograph, amongst the options the Water Lilies are becoming a favourite.

Taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens

Horsepower of a different kind   Leave a comment

Ok, after visiting mate mates workshop in previous post, I then went around to another mates place to catch up, and spend the night there, while I was up that way before heading home.

So of course, first thing in the morning I go to the Dam down the back, to see what bird life is about.

Now to do that, you have to walk through the paddock with “Kingsley” the horse.

Who then decided he would join me down on the fence overlooking the Dam, and obviously thought the grass was greener on the other side .

Taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens.
