I went back on Friday, to where I photographed (last Saturday) the duck photos I put up yesterday, and was Please to see two Pelicans on the pond.
They were quite mobile paddling from one side to the other and back again.
Had to include this shot, the photos of birds I take going away from me, exceeds greatly the number I get good front shots of .
Taken with 7D and 70-200mm lens.
Anatidaephobia – The Fear That You are Being Watched by a Duck
I am sure I suffer from this 🙂
Below is a collection of Ducks caught watching me at a local Pond.
The below duck is going off at the white one for getting in it picture
Taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens
On the way to a friends house for dinner last Saturday night, we met at a pond down the road first to take some Bird photos.
Below are some different White Heron photos, I like these majestic, almose noble birds.
We were lucky they roosted in a tree close to the bank, using the camera’s flash for this one, as by now it was dusk, and light was failing.
These smaller Herons were roosting in trees in the middle of the lake.
Taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens.
Most people like to see fresh flowers, and they can be very colourful and bright.
These started out like that, but then began to fade, and I saw a new beauty in them.
I love the browning of the edges of the petals, the pastels colours and the new shapes as the petalsstart to droop.
Taken with 7D and Canon 60mm and 100mm macro ( non IS, not the L series 100mm lens I usualy use) lenses
Sunday, it is 4.30am and the alarm has just gone off, it is the middle of winter and it is cold, why am I up?
Because the gates to Powerfest open at 6.30, and we need to pick some friends up and get there early for a good spot on the edge of Lake Dyer, to see and hopefully capture the action of Power Boat Racing.
Powerfest is good, because there is also a Hot Rod Show and other displays to look at, will progressively post photos over the next few days of the different images I captured .
Today will be the Power Boats .
Most taken with Canon 7D and 70-200mm lens, a longer lens would have been good as these are all fairly large crops from the actual photo taken.
We detoured to Lake Moogerah on the way home last Monday, was raining, but still stopped to get a couple of quick photos of the Black Swans on the lake.
Will have to come back in finer weather with a longer lens, to get some more “individual” shots of the beautiful birds.
There was a few Pelicans there too.
Taken in the rain, testing the weather sealing on the 7D and 70-200mm lens.
Galah – Pink Cockatoo, although these birds are quite common, I am still struggling to get a photo, I am entirely happy with of this lovely pink coloured bird.
This one also from the Jondaryn Woolshed from the weekend.
Some more images from when I was out at Jondaryan Woolshed on the weekend.
This time some of the Heavy Horse in action.
I was out at Jondaryan Woolshed on the weekend, and while there spotted this White Heron, fishing in the Dam.
Taken at a fair distance, so cropped a reasonable amount to get the above image, 7D with 70-200mm shot at F4.
I managed to get to History Alive on Saturday morning for a couple of hours, always a treat for photographer
Lots of colours in the different costumes with re-enactors covering a multitude of periods through out history
A few of the photos I took, the rest are in a folder on my facebook photography page.
All taken with 7D and 70-200mm Lens.
