Caloundra Sunrise   2 comments

I finally found some time to look at some of my Sunrise photos from last week.

This is a new spot we found at Caloundra, that we have not been to before.

This is what greeted us in the predawn light.

About an hour later the sunrise from the same spot.

Taken with 7D and 17-55lens , the second image with a Cokin graduated ND filter.

Sunrise Manly Boat Harbour   1 comment

Got up today at 4.00 something, in quest of a Sunrise, with no thoughts for the Easter Bunny, we were off.

Decided as there was hardly any clouds, to head to Manly Boat Harbour, on the coast east of Brisbane.

The following image was made up of 3 seperate exposures, 3 stops apart, merged using the HDR process, in a quest t okeep the details in the boats.

Taken with 7D, 17-55 Lens, ND8 filter,and 2 x Cokin Graduated filters.

In late October, last year, I had a the fantastic opportunity to visit Tasmania for a week ( definately not long enough)

While we were there, I managed to get some nice photos.

One of my favourites was this image of  Horseshoe falls.

Canon 7D, 17-55 F2.8 lens, ND400 Filter,  17mm, F11, 1.6secs, tripod.
