Ok, a double post today.
One of my mates invited me out this afternoon for a walk along the Kangaroo Point Cliffs with the words ” you never know what you will see there” – well we saw Zombies – exceptional makeup – some really convincing Zombies
A few photos posted here, and the rest I will put up progressively on my facebook page

Cheers Dave
Below is a collection of images from the morning there.

I recently visited Roma Street Parklands again, being one of my favourite places for Macro photography

I am lucky to live in walking distance of the Brisbane River and try and go for regular morning walks down there.
This is another couple of random photos, I took on a walk earlier in the year (still going through older photos).

I have been going through some older photos, as with it raining last weekend did not get out much.
These two photos I captured early in January on a morning walk down by the Brisbane River, near Newstead House.

Both taken with the 7D and 10-22canon lens.

We had a Macro meetup on Saturday morning at Roma Street Parklands, having done a quick Macro explore the day before with my Macro Lens, thought I would try something different and chase Bees in flight with the 70-200.
Had various levels of success, but have ideas for when I attempt it again in the future ( probably wait until spring, as it was quite cool and there was few Bees out and about).
Possibly my favourite – Take Off – Lifting off from the flower.

But back to basics, and to demonstrate the learning curve.
The best of my worst ones ( I would have deleted 20 worse then this).
You can tell my the noisy background, how much post processing was required to try and sharpen this Image to get it to this level.

Ok this one getting a little better.

Getting more keepers as I refined my technique.

A little more work required, to get the images, I would be totally happy with.

I went to Roma Street last Friday on the way to work, for a look around and to check out Macro possiblities.
So set up for Macro, with 60mm Macro lens, of course I would get a birding opportunity.
I captured this Ibis sitting on top of this post, looking very regal.

And then he flew off.

As previously mentioned, these were taken with 60mm Macro lens on a 7D.

We went to the local Duck Pond, last Sunday afternoon and I captured these Ducks in the afternoon light.
I was using a Kenko 1.4 teleconvertor with the 70-200, to see if I could get some quality photos, verdict is ( if there is good light) yes, so may use this combination again.
