Brisbane River Walks   Leave a comment

I am lucky to live in walking distance of the Brisbane River and try and go for regular morning walks down there.

This is another couple of random photos, I took on a walk earlier in the year (still going through older photos).

Sunrise over the Brisbane River   Leave a comment

I have been going through some older photos, as with it raining last weekend did not get out much.

These two photos I captured early in January on a morning walk down by the Brisbane River, near Newstead House.

When I was at Maryborough over the Easter Weekend, we went to the park overlooking the Mary River, and there were some Artist capturing the river in a different medium to me.

The quality of thier work was incredible.

450D/50 Photo 31 “Skippy’s”   Leave a comment

With the recent rain, I have not been out taking photos lately

So thought I would share another photo from my recent trip to Toorbul

A pair of Kangaroos watching me from the foreshore park.

Taken with the 450D/50 combo, hardly any processing or cropping at all, they really were that close.

Cheers Dave

450D/50 Photo 30 Fort Lytton   Leave a comment

While I was filling in some time last Sunday morning , I took the opportunity to call into Fort Lytton  a great place to visit, if you are interested in history of the local area, lost of artefacts, and a great collection of military items on display, defiantely worth a visit.

This time I visited without the crowds that were there last time I was there with the hosting of History Alive , a great opportunity for photographers to capture re enactors in uniforms of different periods.

Anyway my wandering around this time I capture these images.

All of these images taken with the 450D/50 combo.

Of course, this made me think of my visit to History Alive 2011, and so I went searching for some of my images, and this would have to be my favourite photo I captured there last year.
