Raining and generally a miserable day here today, but still did not stop us going for a drive, to see what we could find.

I saw the finished photo in this shot before I took it.

Took a little manipulation in Photoshop to fully achieve that goal.

I was down in Melbourne in October for a Christening, while we were down there took the opportunity to go to Belgrave just under a hours drive outside of Melbourne.

I love old things, and especially old mechanical things, so what could be better then an Old Steam Train.

We got a good vantage point to get it coming across an old Trestle Bridge.

Converted to Sepia, to enhance the “old” feel to the image.

A second one in colour.

Well worth the visit if you ever get to Melbourne, and have time to go out there.

Cheers Dave

Went out ot get some “Bakery” bread, and stopped at Bartleys Hill Lookout for a quick shot of Brisbane, no clouds to add interest to the sky, and sun reflecting a bit to strongly off some buildings to work in colour, so a quick conversion, and I have a “old style” photo, I am happy with,  what do you think?

Canon 450D/ 50mm F1.8 lens, Shot in Raw, processed in CS5, F8, 1./60 Manual.

A water fountain shot on the weekend.

Nice to sit and listen to the trickle of water of the Doves.

Shot in Raw, converted to Sepia in CS5, with other minor adjustments, F1.8, 1/3200
