Raining and generally a miserable day here today, but still did not stop us going for a drive, to see what we could find.
I saw the finished photo in this shot before I took it.
Took a little manipulation in Photoshop to fully achieve that goal.

While I was filling in some time last Sunday morning , I took the opportunity to call into Fort Lytton a great place to visit, if you are interested in history of the local area, lost of artefacts, and a great collection of military items on display, defiantely worth a visit.
This time I visited without the crowds that were there last time I was there with the hosting of History Alive , a great opportunity for photographers to capture re enactors in uniforms of different periods.
Anyway my wandering around this time I capture these images.

All of these images taken with the 450D/50 combo.
Of course, this made me think of my visit to History Alive 2011, and so I went searching for some of my images, and this would have to be my favourite photo I captured there last year.

I recently attended History Alive , I was impressed with the dedication and detail the re-enactors go into.
Lots of Interesting things to see, next year will hopefully get to go both days.
I was lucky in a mate loaned me his 70-200mm F2.8 lens for the day.
My favourite photo of the day is this one.

This weekend I am off to the Abbey Medieval Festival, so hopefully will have some photos to post next week and get back into more regular blogging.
Cheers Dave
